Grades K-4
Summer school is:
for students currently in kindergarten through 4th grade. Summer School
offers a FUN enrichment/extension to address the skills previously learned
during the school year. It is designed so that students enhance their skills
through a less formal program than a traditional school year at SCPA.
Summer school is taught by SCPA teachers and is a great way to support
students in maintaining many of the social and academic skills gained
throughout the school year.
When ?
- June 9 - June 26 (except 19)
- Mondays through Thursdays
- 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (Transportation is not available)
** If students attend Y-Care Summer Power at SCPA, they are walked to and from Y-Care. Y-Care and SCPA work together to ensure that students able to participate in field trips.
How much does it cost?
Nothing! Summer school is absolutely FREE!
Are uniforms required?
NO! Uniform are not required for summer school! Students should wear
appropriate shoes so they can play outdoors in the woodchips and on the
fields.
Summer school is NOT...
the Extended School Year (ESY) support program for special education
students on an IEP. Please contact your child’s case manager for questions
or eligibility related to ESY and the IEP. ESY will run for those who qualify
on Mondays through Fridays from June 16-27, 2025 (except June 19).
*** PLEASE NOTE: This summer school programming is open to all students; Yet, special education services/supports/providers may not be available during this program.
How do I register my student(s)?
Sign up on the form at:
There will be
no more than 22 students per grade/classroom. Many registrations are
anticipated. You will be notified of which classroom your student will attend
or if they are on a wait list. Filling out the form does not guarantee a spot.
Sign up early to ensure your student has a spot!
