National Honor Society Provides Services

During Middle and Upper School conferences in November, 12 National Honor Society, NHS,  students provided childcare for parents and held parent spots in line while they visited with the various teachers.

Over 30 kids played games with NHS students at childcare and NHS raised over $200 through these two events.  The funds will be used to buy supplies and support the NHS service projects throughout the year.  “We had fun doing this as a group and we plan to provide these services again,” stated Mary Ture, an NHS officer.

In addition to assisting with the conference, NHS hosted their annual fall food drive benefiting Valley Outreach. This year, NHS collected 236 pounds of food!  This is an amazing amount of food which will help several Washington County families.  NHS was very pleased that families responded to their request for specific items that Valley Outreach truly needed.

The next NHS drive will be Coats of Kindness December 12 – 16.  More information will be posted in an upcoming Parent Update.
